Spring 2022 Kitchen Trends
Spring has sprung, and so have the kitchen trends for the season! In keeping with the reason for the season, kitchen trends for Spring 2022 are fresh, light and borrowing elements from nature. Here’s a look at some of favourite kitchen trends for Spring this year.
Two Tone Cabinetry
This isn’t entirely a new trend, but it’s had a little Spring clean in the sense that we’re seeing a move away from monochrome colour ways, to more green, misty and pastel tones. Instead of cabinetry that was once white above and charcoal below, we’re now seeing plenty of timber and natural wood tones paired with sage greens, misty blues and some very pretty light greys.
Exposed Shelving
What better way to display all of your beautiful house plants than on exposed time shelving! This is definitely a trend that just keeps growing. Exposed shelving creates focal points in your kitchen that are both stylistic and functional in design. Use them to display glassware, vases, plants, or your coffee cup collection you collected while travelling the world! It really is up to you how you decide to style these, but one thing’s for sure – exposed kitchen shelving isn’t going anywhere soon.
Rattan and Cane
You may have already seen this trend sneaking into other parts of the home, and the kitchen is no exception! This is a super popular trend right now, and we would advise that you utilise it wisely, especially if you are planning to sell your home in the near future. Trends are fantastic, but some have use-by-dates that come along sooner than expected, so when it comes to using rattan and cane features in your kitchen, look for ways you can utilise it that is easy to change up. Think kitchen island seating, lamp shades or ornamental.
