Melamine Dividers:

Melamine is a tough, scratch resistant laminate made here in New Zealand. There is a large selection of colours and styles to choose from, and the material is highly durable. Melamine dividers are cost effective,minimalistic, easy to install, not limited to insert size and can easily be put into a drawer. However, they are permanent and not as easy to clean compared to the next two options, as you can’t remove them entirely.

Plastic Inserts:

Plastic inserts are great for cutlery storage. This material is sturdy, uncomplicated and comes in a variety of colours. The main benefits of plastic inserts are that they are cost effective, simple to install and can be entirely removed to be cleaned. Unfortunately the inserts are fixed sizings and may or may not fit the size of the drawers in your kitchen. Your utensils may also not fit the size of the divided spaces either.

Another point to consider is that they are generally not as durable as Melamine or Blum Orga-Line.
